“I’m stepping forward as a board candidate to help insure public accountability for all aspects of the district, particularly in regards to the 2008 Mill Levy Override and Bond funds. And I would work with the school board to drive action toward organizational goals and objectives that reflect residents’ expectations.
My longevity as a volunteer has provided me the opportunity to talk to hundreds of residents all over our district and I take from those many conversations a unique perspective on what folks expect from our district. I’d like to contribute that experience and knowledge to the school board’s decision-making process.
Our school district, just like others throughout the state, is facing the challenge of higher student performance expectations while funding remains a concern. St. Vrain Valley has made good progress in addressing growth and program needs over the last number of years and I am familiar with the details of that progress.”
